Well, I have to agree that it can be done for any country. But, the idea here is not to bring to the reader's note the myriad faiths that are practiced in India. Instead, it is intended to make 'A' realise that India is a confluence of individuals who follow either of these faiths and that each of these individuals is an Indian, irrespective of his religion.
What or who 'A' is, I can't really define. 'A' could include you, me and/or just about anyone.
